If for some reason you have red wine on your carpet - this is a tough stain to remove, but follow my instructions and you are sure to save your carpet. If the red wine has just been spilt, simply blot the stain with tissue paper to remove the excess liquid. Then, carefully pour half a glass of white wine on top of the original red wine stain. Slowly massage in using your fingers. Repeat the bloting process again using tissue paper until the majority of the stain is dry. Finally, sprinkle enough salt to fully cover the stain and leave to dry. This will draw out any colour left from the original stain. When the above has been fully completed, you will just need to vacuum the salt.
If for some reason you have wax on your carpet, carry out the following; Purchase a brown paper bag (it must be a brown paper bag, these are available from green grocers or hardware stores). The first step is to place the bag over the wax, then, carefully use a hot iron and rest it on top of the paper bag, leave for a few seconds. This means the wax will stick to the brown paper bag and easily lifts off the carpet. Repeat this process until the wax has completely gone.
If for some reason you have blu tac on your carpet, carry out the following; Take a reasonable sized piece of blu tac, warm it up in your hands. Then put the warm blu tac on top of the orignal blu tac stuck to your carpet - the two pieces of blu tac will stick together and lift off your carpet.
For your every day general small stains, I have found that baby wipes are a good solution and will remove many stains from your carpet. Do this as quickly as possible though, preferably before the stain is dry.
